The Green agenda inspires environmental policy
Inspire Timber Systems is a highly professional, environmentally friendly, organisation. Our focus and determination to deliver high quality products, with minimal impact on the environment, is reflected in our voluntary adherence to the Chain of Custody Sustainable Forest Management Schemes, as promoted by such non-governmental organizations FSC and PEFC.
Natural Product
Throughout Northern Europe, forests are managed to ensure that there are more trees growing than are being harvested. The annual surplus of growth over harvest being a staggering 252 million cubic metres.
Apart from using less energy to heat, a timber frame home uses less energy to build. Wood grows naturally and needs only minimal energy to fell, mill, transport and construct.
Sustainable
As wood is a renewable material and as the trees grow, they absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, giving out the oxygen we breathe. Therefore, using timber frame helps to reduce the growth of global warming and complies with the Building Regulations for the Conservation of Fuel and Power.
During a tree’s lifetime, it removes tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Using timber from sustainably managed forests and adding cfc-free insulation, timber frame construction is the right choice if you care about the planet.

Forestry Management
Timber is the only truly renewable construction material. Good forestry management means that when a tree is cut down, another one if not two is planted.
National House Building Council records show less problems with timber frame homes than other forms of construction. Timber is a natural insulator and timber frame walls have additional insulation included as standard. So, timber frame is thermally efficient and leads to lower fuel bills.
